\"HowWant to get published in 2012, or add to your already existing publishing portfolio?<\/p>\n

One quick and easy way is to participate in a community project where various authors contribute individual chapters to a full-length book. I have done this a couple times myself already with The Practice Of Love<\/em><\/a>\"\" and Not Alone<\/em><\/a>.\"\" Getting published in these books taught me a lot about the book publishing and editing process.<\/p>\n

You are invited to contribute.<\/h2>\n

Let me remind you about another community project that is in the works and is looking for more contributors.<\/p>\n

This book is called Finding Church<\/a><\/em>. It will tell the stories of people and their evolving relationship with church.<\/p>\n

There will be four main types of stories within the book, and if you fit into one of these categories (and nearly everyone fits into one or more category), you are invited to submit your story.<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t delay. The submission deadline is April 30th<\/sup>!<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

We are looking for stories in four categories:<\/h2>\n

\"FindingReforming Church.<\/strong> Do you love your church, and although it is not perfect, you have stuck with it through thick and thin? Tell us a story of what happened in your church, and how you decided to change things from within the church. Maybe you simply chose to forgive and forget what happened. Tell us how you came to this decision and what happened as a result.<\/p>\n

Changing Church.<\/strong> Some people have tried and tried for years on end to make it work in a particular church, but finally, it becomes too painful and difficult to stay, and so they switch from one church to another. If this describes your story, tell us what happened and why you made the change. Maybe it wasn\u2019t so much what happened to you in church, but something that changed in your theology of church. Again, relate the story of how this change occurred.<\/p>\n

Leaving Church.<\/strong> There are many people who have decided to be done with church altogether. These stories are often filled with lots of pain, and are difficult to both tell and hear. But if churches are going to learn to love and forgive, these stories must be shared.<\/p>\n

Returning to Church.<\/strong> Finally, some people have returned to church after long periods of absence. Sometimes they have stayed away from church for decades. If this describes your situation, tell the story of what happened in your life to cause you to return to church after so long a time away.<\/p>\n

If you have a story to tell, remember that the goal of this book is not to bash other churches, but to help us all grow in unity and understanding with each other and the paths that we find ourselves on. As we grow in such unity and understanding with each other, we will be finding church.<\/p>\n
