{"id":17411,"date":"2013-03-17T22:44:41","date_gmt":"2013-03-18T06:44:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/?p=17411"},"modified":"2013-05-31T18:07:54","modified_gmt":"2013-06-01T02:07:54","slug":"my-wife-rescued-christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/my-wife-rescued-christmas\/","title":{"rendered":"My Wife Rescued Christmas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-17414\" alt=\"Wendy Myers\" src=\"https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Wendy-e1363588905725.jpg\" width=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Wendy-e1363588905725.jpg 269w, https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Wendy-e1363588905725-101x150.jpg 101w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 269px) 100vw, 269px\" \/>I heard of a woman today who got attacked by a dog, climbed a telephone pole, fell out of a tree, was yelled at by a police officer on a 911 call, got patched in to the State Police in New York, was almost arrested and sent to jail, trespassed on several people&#8217;s property, hurtled fences and hedges in a mad dash through a neighborhood, and even convinced a former mayor of our town to call in some favors to the local power company.<\/p>\n<p>It sounds like a crazy plot out of some action movie, but it is just another day in the life of Wendy Myers&#8230;whom I am proud to call my wife!<\/p>\n<p>What was she trying to do?<\/p>\n<p>Rescue a cat named Christmas.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-17415\" alt=\"Christmas\" src=\"https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Christmas-150x142.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Christmas-150x142.jpg 150w, https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Christmas-300x284.jpg 300w, https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Christmas.jpg 332w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>Yes, he is our cat. We got him for our girls at Christmas. He has been missing for four days, and Wendy found him perched 30 feet up in the air on a telephone pole, and&#8230; well, take all the events I described above and fit them together into some sort of story (any crazy story will do) and you pretty much have what happened today as she tried to rescue Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>So one thing is for sure: today my wife is the talk of the town! And\u00a0after the events of today, I would not at all be surprised if the police show up at our house to give her a stern lecture. Of course, she will probably lecture him right back.
