I thought it was good then, and it&#8217;s still good today.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-32810\" alt=\"what if questions about church\" src=\"https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/what-if-570x288.jpg\" width=\"570\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/what-if-570x288.jpg 570w, https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/what-if-150x75.jpg 150w, https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/what-if-300x151.jpg 300w, https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/what-if.jpg 770w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I had some \u201cwhat if\u201d thoughts the other day that I wanted to share\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WHAT IF the church really believed that Jesus was as powerful as Scripture says that He is?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF we were not afraid to BEG GOD for ridiculous things, knowing that He is able?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF we REALLY believed that\u00a0Acts 2:41-47 was actually the starting point of all that God wants to do through the church and NOT the watermark?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF we really believed that a life dedicated to Christ means that we are completely His\u2026not just on Sunday?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF every church became a cheerleader of other churches and not critics?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF we really believed the church existed to CHANGE the world and not just to \u201cmeet my needs!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF we really believe that teenagers and children are worth the investment and poured resources into them instead of making them sell doughnuts in front of department stores?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF we really believed God\u2019s Kingdom should grow through the church instead of being stagnant?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF we were willing to lay aside our personal preferences for the sake of reaching those who are far from God?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF we refused to participate in slandering and tearing down another person?<\/li>\n<li>WHAT IF we sought to embrace God\u2019s plan for our lives (and churches) instead of trying to get Him to bless ours?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Those are just some of the things I\u2019ve been wondering.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes it is wise to ask questions about the church.
