What is the chief end of mankind?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/redeeminggod.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/genesis128.png\" alt=\"Genesis 1:28-31\" width=\"220\" height=\"263\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-41041\" \/>Is the chief end and purpose of man, as many dry and dusty old theologians like to say, \u201cto glorify God and enjoy Him forever\u201d? If that\u2019s the case, it\u2019s no wonder that many people want nothing to do with God, with theology, or with Christianity.<\/p>\n<p>But what if I told you that according to God, our three primary tasks in life were to have sex, eat good food, and take care of your pets?<\/p>\n<p>Now that is a little more appealing, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<p>This is what we see from Genesis 1:28-31. Listen to the podcast to learn more!<\/p>\n<h2>The Text of Genesis 1:28-31<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Then God blessed them, and God said to them, \u201cBe fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And God said, \u201cSee, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food\u201d; and it was so.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.
