Are you shocked by the title of this Post? That’s good. You should be.<\/p>\n

But it is not Jesus who is selling children, but the Son of God Orphanage in Haiti.<\/p>\n

I learned about the following from Tom Davis of Children’s Hope Chest through his Red Letters blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Human<\/p>\n

The time has come to share the results of a 15-month investigation into suspected\u00a0human trafficking<\/a>\u00a0at the Son of God orphanage in Haiti.\u00a0\u00a0I need your help to spread this news to the\u00a0CNN Freedom Project\u00a0<\/a>by signing our\u00a0Change.org petition<\/a>\u00a0today.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are petitioning\u00a0CNN\u00a0<\/a>to bring their international media voice and passion for ending slavery into the Son of God Orphanage. Please urge\u00a0CNN\u00a0<\/a>to expose the corruption within the Haitian government, and allow international organizations to secure the children from the\u00a0child traffickers<\/a>\u00a0who are now controlling the orphanage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The evidence in hand shows:<\/p>\n

> Children have been and are currently being trafficked from the Son of God Orphanage. The evidence on human trafficking leads back to the Son of God orphanage. The orphanage director was imprisoned in July as part of a police-led operation that resulted in his conviction of trafficking a child.<\/p>\n

> Haitian investigators have told our team the evidence suggests organ harvesting and trafficking as well.<\/p>\n

> Numerous photos show extreme physical abuse and neglect. U.S. and Haitian doctors have documented cases of severe abuse and neglect including burns and broken bones.<\/p>\n

> As recently as October 10, American volunteers took children with late-stage starvation out of the orphanage and to local doctors. Without this intervention, the doctors confirmed the children could have died of starvation.<\/p>\n

> After boldly bringing these facts to the attention of government officials, American citizens received death threats from those associated with the current orphanage leadership\u2013documented by the Haitian police.<\/p>\n

This orphanage must be shut down. Other orphanages are ready and willing to take these children. Please urge\u00a0CNN\u00a0<\/a>to cover this story and work to close this orphanage and re-locate the children immediately.<\/p>\n

We need coordinated, concerted pressure. We believe the best chance these children have is through a focused effort to bring international media and political attention to their abuse, and neglect.\u00a0Children in Haiti at this orphanage are being\u00a0trafficked<\/a>.
