“Take away from me the noise of your many songs,

\nQuit playing the guitars, banging on the drums,\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0 And raising your hands in praise.
\nStop trampling the parking lots\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0 In your eagerness to get to church.<\/p>\n
“Sunday morning, Sunday night.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wednesday evening, Friday morning.
\nI hate all your meetings.
\n\u00a0\u00a0 I despise your numerous studies.
\nThey are all evil in my sight.<\/p>\n
“Instead, let justice roll down like a waterfall,
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
\nI desire mercy, not sacrifice.
\n\u00a0\u00a0 I want you\u00a0do justice,\u00a0love kindness,
\nAnd walk humbly with your God.”<\/p>\n
