KeymasterWhat are these “Levels” I see in the comments?
You might have noticed that beneath your name in the comments you leave on this site you have the word “Level” followed by a book of the Bible. What is this?
I have added some “gamification” to RedeemingGod.com to encourage involvement and to help guide people through the process of interacting with each other. As people progress through the levels, they learn to leave comments, create forum topics, and take online courses.
As you interact in various ways on RedeemingGod.com, you will gain different “Levels.” At the same time, you will also be earning “Points.” Let me explain both.
How many “Levels” are there?
There are 66, one for each book of the Bible.
What are “Points”?
You earn points for doing various things on the website. You will learn more about “Points” and how to use them as you progress through the Levels. (But know that you are gaining points just by reading this forum topic!)
How can I earn “Points”?
You earn “Points” by performing certain activities on the website.
Here is how much each activity is worth:
- Daily read any Blog Post (2 points)
- Comment on any Blog Post (2 points)
- Comment on any Forum Topic (2 points)
- Create a new Forum Topic (10 points)
- Complete an Online Course Lesson (10 points)
- Complete an Online Course Quiz (5 points)
- Complete an Online Course (50 points)
- Purchase a Digital Download in the Bookstore (50 points)
What can I do with “Points”?
“Points” will allow you to gain Levels faster, and you will also be able to use “Points” to make purchases in the RedeemingGod.com bookstore.
After you decide what you want to buy, just choose to pay with “Points” down in the payment section of the checkout screen.
Note: Please do not use Points to purchase bulk paperback books. I cannot afford to print and ship paperback books for free. But you can use points to purchase any other digital product in the bookstore, such as MP3 teachings, PDF eBooks, and Audiobook downloads.
How can I see how many points I have earned?
Your User Account Profile shows how many points you have. Either visit your profile by clicking your name in the upper right-hand corner of this screen, or just go here. Your point total will be listed near the bottom.
How can I start to make progress into different levels and earning points?
After you leave a comment, you should see your current “Level” beneath your name in the comment. If you’re just getting started, it will probably say “Level: Genesis” or “Level: Exodus”.
Just click on Level title (the book of the Bible), and the site will explain to you what you need to do to achieve the next level. It’s usually pretty simple, such as “Leave two comments” or “Read five blog posts.”
Can you make it all the way to Revelation?
Have fun and enjoy!
You can see which level you are
