I saw this “Jesus facepalm” over at Greg Boyd’s blog and thought it was funny…. enjoy!
I also agree with what Greg said on his blog… Jesus doesn’t do this, but sometimes it would be understandable. The way we mess up over and over, and walk straight into sin fully knowing what we are doing…
So thank Jesus for His unconditional and infinite forgiveness today!
Juan Carlos Torres says
I don’t know, Jeremy.
In the gospels he seems pretty frustrated with the disciples:P
Jeremy Myers says
Ha! Yes, you are right. Maybe Jesus does do this!
Michael Kampff says
Amen! It reminds me of the facepalming I do about my 20-yr-old stepdaughter sometimes. Usually it’s coupled with “why can’t she just trust me by now”. Even after innumerable instances of her making decisions in spite of my warnings over the last 12 years, and then paying the price, why can’t she trust me by now?
I think the same may be true with our sin. Even after experiencing the consequence of prior sin, and even recognizing it as such, why don’t we surrender 100% to Christ? (rhetorical question)
Jeremy Myers says
Sometimes we just need to learn things the hard way, I guess. You are right that sometimes God probably feels the frustration toward us that we feel toward our own children.
Scott R Poland says
Grace always provides a solution! 6
Jeremy Myers says
Yes it does!

Me having done something dumb – again.
God – Shakes head in haughty derision.
Jeremy Myers says
Ha! yeah, nothing like that. God isn’t like that, right? No haughty derision, but love and concern.
Chris Chapman says
I think this is exactly what He does when he hears people like John Hagee talking such nonsense and making millions out of false predictions and when He watches most of Christian TV!!
