Are you scared to stand before God in judgment? Lots of people are, but we’re going to today from Genesis 1:10 that you have nothing to fear from the judgment of God.
You will see this from how God names the earth and the seas, and you will also see that no matter what God does, He does it always and only for your good.
The Text of Genesis 1:10
Genesis 1:10. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
In this discussion of Genesis 1:10 we look at:
- What it really means for God to judge.
- Why the names that God gave the earth and the seas are theologically significant.
- Why God does what He does in creation (and in your life).

Not sure where a good place to ask questions is, or for that matter, whether you would address them in a later podcast.
As I was listening to you talk about judgement, I was encouraged. It did make me think, however, about the Matthew 7 passage on judging and how that fits in, or even if it’s the same kind of judgement.
Thanks for the work.

Irrelevant but personally changing question that I have found-
In certain areas of the rain forests in South America there are tribes that have never seen a person from the outside world in thousands of years and have only in the last couple of years been discovered by aeroplane. These people have never had the chance to hear the word of god, let alone know that they have sinned and will be judged for it.
In what way will these people be judged by god? Surely not for their ignorance, there is no way they can know of god, that’s like judging them for not knowing what a pair of sunglasses are, or how to use a door.
