Didn’t Jesus say something along these lines?
Well, even if He didn’t, this is how most of us Christians live, so it must be true. The best way to show others you are a Christian is by wearing a t-shirt. Even if you treat other people like crap, it doesn’t matter as long as you have your Christian t-shirt on.

Steven McDade says
oh man, how I fell into that trap at one time. All those shirts that look like company logos. Though I did really like the “Amazing Grace” that looked like the original “American Idol” . But yeah, that is a really bad practice to do.
Jeremy Myers says
I still own a few, I think. Though my favorite is a t-shirt I got from Vince Antonucci. It says, “I became a Christian, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.” Ha! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0801068185/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=0801068185&linkCode=as2&tag=jdmyers-20
Chris says
Oh fantastic! I’ve waiting for something like this for a long, long time. At last!
Now, as long as I’m wearing the T-shirt I can be as grumpy as I like.
Thanks Jeremy 🙂
Jeremy Myers says
Yes, live and act however you want, and you are fine, because you’ve got your t-shirt on!
Don Gniffke says
What about bummer stickers? Can I drive like I want as long as I have a Christian bumper sticker? Do those fish count?
Jeremy Myers says
Ha! Yes, those count. Those are fine.
Sam says
I like “My mama went to heaven and all I got was this lousy T-shirt”
Jeremy Myers says
I have a shirt very similar. I mention it in my reply to Steven McDade.
Dustin Ryman says
Didn’t you know? it’s all about ‘selling’ Jesus.
Jeremy Myers says
True. There is big money to be made in Jesus. I heard a commercial today for the secret Bible code to becoming rich. Sigh.
Danny says
Sorry to be the party pooper here guys, but I quite like them. It most certainly isn’t the best way to show others that you are a Christian, but as Frank Zappa once said, “Everybody in this room is wearing a uniform, and don’t you forget it”
Jeremy Myers says
Yeah, I don’t mind people wearing them as long as they living like Jesus and loving others.
Ward Kelly says
I agree Danny. Our society is built on “identity”. People wear certain clothes, color or cut their hair a certain way, wear certain jewelry, get certain tattoos, drive certain cars, listen to certain music, watch certain TV shows, live in certain neighborhoods, eat at certain restaurants, and vacation in certain places…all so they can without saying anything become part of a group, and attract certain people. I loathe the shirts you speak of and I won’t put a church identifying bumper sticker on my van. We should be in the world, so we can reach the world…not separate ourselves from the world without ever uttering a word. How is the person who wears a “Turn or burn” t-shirt, who only listens to quote unquote Christian music, only goes to Christian movies, has the ten commandments in their yard, sends their kids to christian schools, arranges “christian” playdates, ever reach the world?
Phil says
Fine and thin irony!
Betsey says
A man is known due to his personality and tee shirts play an important role in developing the personality of a person. One should choose that t-shirt that gives him stylish and cool look.
