Welcome to the TILL HE COMES Blog

Welcome

Do you ever get random thoughts about life, God, theology, the Bible, marriage, child rearing, and monkeys? I do…sometimes all in one thought. And the great thing is that the internetย provides me a place to post all these random musingsย for the whole world can see…or at least those who read the blog. And better yet, after reading what was probably better left unsaid, you can write comments back telling me how crazy I am, or telling me that you had similar thoughts the other day.

For example, recently I have been labeled a “heretic.” I am trying to decide whether that is a good thing or a bad thing. As my friend Rene Lopez says, “Love me or hate me…just don’t ignore me.”ย This blog is where I could post what is going on, and interact with you on the issue.

Also, my wife and I are seriously considering doing a church plant. I have some crazy ideas about church that might get me labeled as a heretic again.ย I don’t want to be heretic (who does?), and so am thinking about posting some of my ideas about church that come to me at 3 am (along with the monkeys), and let you weigh in on the subject.

So, keep checking back! It’s going to be quite a ride.

[2015 Note: I had no idea how big of a ride it would be! Looking back now, I sort of feel bad for the guy who wrote this post. He had no idea what was about to happen to him. … And in case you are wondering, this is no longer the TILL HE COMES blog, but is now the Redeeming God blog. Read more about the transition on the about page.]

    Hey Jeremy,

wanna go to India this October for an evangelism trip that will result in four new baby churches being planted and over 1000 people hearing the gospel? I talked to Bob about it today, but unfortunately he is busy during that time.

I will also be holding a conference with 100 Indian pastors, teaching them FG.

    Hi all!

Thanks for the welcome to the blogosphere! I value your input (and your respective blogs), so tell me how to make mine better!

Also, Antonio, yes, WordPress thought your earlier comments were spam because of the multiple links you put in the post. It put them in the “Awaiting Moderation” folder for me. I went ahead and deleted them since you were able to post the information. Sorry for the problem this might have caused….

    Jeremy,

I just wanted to say what a beautiful family you have!!!!!

Also, I’m overwhelmed at so many good “blog-sites” (those listed in your blogs). I don’t know HOW to use them yet. Just so many places to go….. categories and questions. Whoa! I’ve got to learn HOW to move around in them!!! I think I’m getting the hang of your blog, and I LOVE it!!!

I also love Antonio da Rosa’s blog. He has so much that’s so good. I just don’t have enough hours in the day to take it all in!!! Finding my way around the blog is another problem. That’s where I’ve got to improve. In fact, I’ve posted stuff before and didn’t know how to get back to where I posted it.

    HELP!!!!!!!!! I’m a mess!!!!!!!!!

But I’m enjoying all of this very much. Thank you for putting forth your thoughts and your questions. They’re great and they cause me to think.

I Love your website also, and your “Truth in Love” paper that you send out is wonderful!!! THANK YOU!

Just want to encourage everyone to listen carefully to what Jeremy is teaching, and to guard against knee jerk reactions against it BEFORE processing what he is saying. I’ve found it to be eye opening! Thanks Jeremy!!!

Welcome to the club. I was hurt for a while when I was called a heretic and condemned, then I hung up the letter from my church then I realized that was inappropriate too.

I use it as a teaching point when I disciple. I ask the young men, “How strong are your convictions? How far will you go for truth?”

    It gets their attention.

The pastor who condemned me couldn’t spell heretic. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Mike,

Wow, I would love to hear more about that story! And others might too. Are you considering submitting your story for the book? (There are two with the name of “Mike” who have already submitted, so maybe you are one of them? (I cannot tell from your name…).

      Peace,

      Mike

Like a roller coaster, lots of twists, turns, and unexpected changes in direction, but every moment a thrill. (I don’t care for roller coasters ๐Ÿ˜‰ )
