Blue Like Jazz, the Movie hits theaters today. I wish I could go see it, but there are no theaters near where I live that are showing it.
Oh well, I’ll get the DVD….
How about you? Are you going to go see it? Why or why not? If you do see it, let me know what you think.
I like Blue Like Jazz – the book, and I briefly wrote about my “conversion” regarding this book here.
But the main reason I wanted to go see this movie was because of who the director is: Steve Taylor. I have read a lot of books in my life, but he influenced my thinking and theology before anyone else, and possibly more than anyone else …all without writing a single book.
Here are some posts where I explain more:
- Steve Taylor – One of my Formative Theologians
- Steve Taylor – Escher’s World
- Steve Taylor – Lifeboat
- Steve Taylor – Baby Doe
- Steve Taylor – Sock Heaven
- Steve Taylor – Cash Cow
- Steve Taylor – What is the Measure of Your Success?
- Steve Taylor – Blue Like Jazz the Movie
Opens in Louisville, KY on April 20th.. I will see it then.
Probably gonna have to wait for DVD.
Currently playing in just one theater in Philadelphia, opens at addtional theaters in the area on April 20. Looks interesting.
When you watch it, let me know what you think!
